On Thursday, February 9, 2012, U.S. President of Kiton Antonio Paone, Whitewall Founder Michael Klug, and Assouline President Chuck Hendricks, came together for an event celebrating Guy Laliberté's new exhibition and book of photography, GAIA (published by Assouline), from his 2009 trip into space. The event also celebrated the Winter 2012 Luxury Issue of Whitewall magazine, with features on Kiton's CEO Antonio de Matteis and Guy Laliberté, the Founder of Cirque du Soleil. Prints from the epic tome, GAIA, were available for sale and on view with 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the prints and the book GAIA go to One Drop, a nonprofit organization initiated by Guy Laliberté to fight poverty worldwide by ensuring that everyone across the planet has access to clean water, now and in the future.
The event was DJ'd by Hannah Bronfman, and guests sipped enjoyed sips from The Italian Trade Commission's Fashion of the Vine Project's Wines of Italy bar featuring wines exclusively from Feudi di San Gregorio.
