Pringle of Scotland will be launching a capsule collection in collaboration with British artist Liam Gillick during Art Basel Miami Beach called liamgillickforpringleofscotland. The collection will be presented in Pringle of Scotland's pop-up shop at the Mosaic Building in the Design District in Miami featuring a structure designed by Gillick.
Gillick, whose work has been featured at the Guggenheim New York and the Tate London, collaborated with the iconic brand to create a colorful collection of small and large leather bags and accessories, as well as cashmere knitwear for both men and women. Both the leather and knitwear collections feature a brightly-colored, abstract, color-block pattern designed by Gillick. With his modern and playful design, the artist seems to both update and pay reverence to Pringle of Scotland's historical signature argyle pattern.
The pop-up store will continue on to Berlin and Milan after it's debut in Miami. The Miami store will house both liamgillickforpringleofscotland and the first collections for the brand by new Design Director Alistair Carr. The pop-up will also feature elements for the new Pringle of Scotland store design.
