Early this month, Hublot was named the exclusive watchmaking partner of Ferrari. The partnership, announced by Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Hublot and Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, President of Ferrari SpA, commenced at the Ferrari World Finals at Mugello on November 5. Hublot will now appear alongside Ferrari in all of the carmaker’s events as “Official Watch” and “Official Timekeeper.” This agreement between the two companies encompasses commercial activities of both, brand image, and a myriad of resources. Hublot’s benefits are seen most clearly within the Chinese market, where Ferrari is already one of the leading luxury brands. With only three boutiques at present, Hublot plans to open 12 additional stores within the next year. Said Biver, “This collection, rich in a host of synergies, gives Hublot a massive boost along the road.” The partnership looks to be successful because both companies, as di Montezemolo explains, share core values of “exclusivity, technology, passion, [and] style.”
