The Pink Swan Project was launched at the contemporary furniture showroom SUITE New York last Thursday, October 27th. During the month of October, 19 prominent names in fashion, design, and architecture will auction off their incredible customized versions of the Arne Jacobsen-designed Swan chair to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). The Pink Wishbone Project was a success last year as designers worked on the Hans Wegner's classic Wishbone chair.
The designers of the Pink Swan chairs were in attendance at the launch included David Mann, Milly de Cabrol, Julie Hillman, and D.B. Km of PYR for Swarovski. Other designers not able to make the event included Alexandra Von Furstenberg, Margherita Maccapnai Missoni, Karim Rashid, and Jonathan Adler, among others. Other supporters at the event were Hoda Kotb, Jill Martin, Myra Biblowit, Berry Bloomingdale. and Geoffrey Loisel. The chairs were on display the SUITE New York store and auctioned off on charitybuzz.com.
