New York hotel Andaz 5th Avenue will be launching the beginning of their artists in residence: tbd Art. It's a rotating art series showcased on the doors of their hotel bar. Picked to participate in the series are M. Dreeland, Mister Cartoon, Claw Money and another artist that has yet to be announced (or is tbd - get it?). Each artist will design their view of New York today in whatever media they gravitate towards. M. Dreeland kicked off the series on October 6th using acrylics and old style master techniques to render a pop art creation with generous amounts of paint and color to illuminate the seemingly mundane. The mural was completed in four days while hotel guests and spectators watched.
Mister Cartoon will follow on December 12th. The iconic tattoo and graffiti artist, known for being both vulnerable and vicious, will surrender his talents to any hotel guest who requests a tattoo during his stay. Mister Cartoon will present his own art piece, as well. On February 12th Claw Mooney will convey her passion for fashion and luxury lifestyle through her edgy graffiti. The hotel is inspired by the culture of New York and is pleased to represent such a diverse group of artists. The tbd Art series' final mystery artist's work will debut on June 12th. Be sure to check it out.
