On Sunday, October 9, artist Kim Beck presented “The Sky is the Limit/NYC” over the High Line of New York City. The Sky is the Limit/NYC is an addition to Space Available, where Beck's sculptures are already on display at the southern end of the High Line. The performance manifested in a variety of messages written in smoke through the sky. Messages like those posted on billboards and storefronts exclaiming “Now Open!” or “Final Sale!”. Beck envisioned viewers reading the messages and their medium however they want, though she hoped that her canvas, the endless sky, to represent a sort of longing for hope.
