About the photographer: Born in Belgium, Pamela Berkovic was educated at L’Ecole Nationale des Arts Visuels de La Cambre in Brussels and at the International Center of Photography in New York. Her focus is on portraiture and backstage life-behind the curtain.  Pamela’s studies capture stolen moments of woman at work in diverse environments ranging from the gritty reality of Strip Clubs to the gloss and glamor of high fashion, backstage at the shows of Stella McCartney, Rick Owens, Jason Wu, Philip Lim, Derek Lam, Lanvin, Valentino and other top fashion houses. Pamela's recent projects include a backstage expose of designer Thom Browne men’s couture show in June of 2011; still photography on two new films, the artist Carter's “Maladies” starring James Franco, Catherine Keener, David Strathairn and Alan Cumming and "The Stare" with Winona Ryder & James Franco; and an ongoing portrait series of contemporary artists and fashion designers. Pamela lives between New York and Paris.
