W hotels has announced the three winners of their second annual W Hotels Designers of the Future. Designers of the Future is a competition that looks beyond contemporary furniture design and into what is groundbreaking and fresh. “Being at the forefront of design is an ongoing goal for W Hotels,” says Mike Tiedy, Senior Vice President, Global Brand Design & Innovation, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, “To identify and connect with these emerging designers will continue to drive design forward at W Hotels across the globe.”

In partnership with Design Miami/, W hotels selected the winners, Asif Khan, Mischer' Traxler, and Studio Juju, based on this years theme - Conversation Pieces. All the pieces are superb examples of what the studios are capable of, and their creations will go on to help W Hotels and their ambition to be the most cutting edge lifestyle hotels around the world. Asif Khan created a piece utilizing helium, fishing nets and soapsuds, while Studio Juju's piece uses a metal structure to create social space. Finally, Mischer’ Traxler used a collection of lamps and mirrors to demonstrate self-reflection.
