Creative Time Tweets will begin it's second installation tomorrow, when artist David Horvitz debuts his project entitled #VadeMecum (5992. I Will, with Pleasure, Take Letters for You).  His project aims to explore the history of electronic communication, starting with the invention of the telegraph. The reason being the telegraph made it possible to deliver information with the aid of messengers. Horvitz wants to explore the question of what was lost in the fall of the message's journey. In order to do that, he will produce a hard copy of every tweet using the hashtag #VadeMecum, Latin for "go with me," between June 17 and June 23 and travel with the hardcopies by train from San Francisco to Washington, DC where he will submit the entire collection to the Library of Congress and donate it to a public archive where it will remain accessible.

During his trip, Horvitz will contribute to his project by tweeting his observations of the experience as well as the history of communication technologies. Creative Time Tweets kicked off on May 24 with the performance piece #24hPort by Man Bartlett. The series hopes to explore Twitter as a place where art can engage the audience as well as intersect with the physical world.
