Gagosian Gallery announced today the launch of an exciting new technological development. In collaboration with content development firm @Radical.Media, Gagosian has introduced a dynamic iPad application for art followers.

Available as a free download from the iTunes store, this application will be updated quarterly with everything you need to know about what’s new at the Gagosian network of galleries. Not only does it provide information on each gallery, but it offers in-depth, behind the scenes information on artists and exhibitions of the past present and future. Further, it will host archival information as well as lectures and discussions by curators and art historians alike.

Edition #1 of the application will focus on John Chamberlain, John Currin, Vera Lutter, Kazimir Malevich, Pablo Picasso, Robert Rauschenberg, Richard Prince, and Rudolf Stingel.
