The always innovative Nike is presenting two exciting ventures this summer that once again showcase the brands’ breadth and devotion to creativity.
June 4 marked the global release of the Nike SB Eric Koston. While this is not the first time that skateboarding superstar Koston has worked in collaboration with Nike in designing a shoe, this is his first signature design. Drawing inspiration from the Dunk Pro SB and the Zoom FP, Koston uses newly released lunar foam for the first time in Nike history. This lightweight and responsive material is ideal for maximized skating ability. The shoe is available in three colors and, beginning July 1, The Nike SB Eric Koston Premium featuring an embossed suede with snake skin pattern will be available in a limited edition.
Nike SB will also be working in conjuction with Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporary Art’s exhibition “Art in the Streets.” Nike team rider Lance Mountain and artist Geoff McFetridge have joined forces to tell the history of graffiti and street art in a completely skateable installation that was built by California Skateparks. A series of limited edition Nike SB gear including t-shirts and shoes will also be available through the exhibition.
