Fondazione Prada celebrated the opening of its stunning new exhibition space in Venice on the Grand Canal, the Ca’ Corner della Regina on May 31, 2011. Belonging to the Comune di Venezia and made available by the Fondazione Musei Civici, the space will allow the contemporary art exhibited by the Fondazione Prada to exist in another location rich with history, allowing the past to fuse with the present.
The opening exhibition, “Fondazione Prada_Ca' Corner della Regina” is curated by Germano Celant and showcases artworks and special projects done in a joint effort with international museums alongside art work commissioned specifically for the new space.
The exhibition runs from Saturday, June 4, 2011 to Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Ca’ Corner della Regina. More information about The Fondazione Prada can be found at www.fondazioneprada.org.
