Whitewall had the pleasure of visiting Martin Brudnizki Design Studio’s latest project: Soho Beach House in Miami, the newest addition to the Soho House Hotels. Soho Beach House is in Mid-Beach on the site of historic art deco Sovereign Hotel and features Cecconi’s Restaurant, the hotel’s lush outdoor Italian eatery. Starting in the lobby and continuing throughout the entire hotel, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio brings a relaxed glamour to the space with elements of art deco, Hollywood glamour and vintage chic. Original artworks by Shepard Fairey, Ryan McGinness, and many more line the walls of the plush lobby, showcasing Miami’s notable relationship with contemporary art.
We got the opportunity to meet Martin Brudnizki at Cecconi’s, where diners sit beneath Silver Buttonwood trees and hanging Edison bulbs. The new Miami outpost of the Soho Houses (in addition to New York and Los Angeles locations) was in keeping with the theme of its sister hotels. For Mr. Brudnizki, the color and design scheme seemed to flow as naturally as a warm Miami breeze. With its lush location and impeccably designed space, Coccino’s is a must-visit place to grab a drink or a leisurely meal. Just don’t hesitate to order their delectable tiramisu.
