Creative Time held its fall fundraiser event over the weekend and over 300 people attended in “island jet set attire.” The tropical-themed brunch at The Hurricane Club in New York, complete with entertainment from an Afro-Cuban band, celebrated the launch of the limited edition Creative Time Comics: A Graphic Record of the Here and Now. All attendees received the publication, made up of comics produced by artists like Simon Grennan & Christopher Sperandio, Tunde Adebimpe, Robert Pruitt, and Lisa Hanawalt addressing issues like incarceration, consumer culture, and The Gulf oil spill.
