Six Scents Parfums launched their latest series last Friday with a celebration at the 3 legged dog in New York. Six Scents collaborators Mary Katrantzou, Tavi Gevinson, Rad Hourani, Alia Raza, Rainer Judd, and Alexa Adams hosted the evening, which included samples of the scents, portraits of the designers by Robert Knocke, screenings of commissioned short films, a 3D video installation, and music by DJ Mike Nouveau. The place was packed with over 500 guests including Michelle Harper, Sky Ferreira, Becca Diamond, Giorgio DeLuca, and many more.
Six Scents pairs fashion designers with perfumers every year to produce unisex fragrances for a charitable cause – this year proceeds go towards War Child International. Series Three of Six Scents investigates childhood memories and influences dreamed up by Alexis Mabille, Mary Katrantzou, Juun. J, Rad Hourani, N.Hoolywood, and Ohne Titel in collaboration with perfumers from Givaudan. Only 3,000 bottles were made, and each perfume comes with a portrait of the designer by Robert Knocke and a DVD. The DVD includes a documentary about the project and short films by Rainer Judd, Olaf Breuning, Sue De Beer, Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard, Heather Sommerfeld, Tim Richardson, Lucas Michael and James Widegren, and a film by Alia Raza starring Julia Restoin Roitfeld and edited by Tavi Gevinson.
Starting this week, Six Scents’ Series Three will be in stores like Opening Ceremony in New York, The Standard Hotels, Lucky Scent & Maxfield in Los Angeles, Liberty of London, Colette, Adelaide in Tokyo, 10 Corso Como, Assin in Melbourne, Club 21 in Singapore, and Joyce in Hong Kong.
