A Fendi and Fumi Gallery collaborative show will be opening this Friday for the London Design Festival. The aptly named “In Every Dream Home” exhibit features the work of four designers and one studio that drew inspiration and materials from Fendi to create household furniture and interior designs. Tina Roeder, for example, combined steel, cardboard, and Fendi leather to create a credenza, while Rowan Mersh used slivers of leather to form a unique wall design. Other designers presenting works are Freddie Yauner with his Fendi diamond-inspired optical image, Studio Glithero with its imaginative use of substances like zinc to create a decorative cornice, and Paul Kelley, who will be presenting seven pieces (one of which uses Fendi leather to enclose a mahogany armoire). The artwork may not work in every home, but in every dream home, it absolutely would.
