Fuschia Luxury Grand Room, Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai.

Sunday, August 15th marked India’s 64th independence day as well as the reopening of the heritage wing of Taj Hotels’ Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai.

The Palace wing overlooks the gateway to India and the Arabian Sea and has been a historic site since 1903. Overlooking the restoration were chairman of Tata and Indian Hotels Ratan Tata, Vice Chairman R.K. Krishna Kumar, and Taj Hotels’ CEO Raymond Bickson. The restored hotel features beautiful luxury guestrooms and suites, as well as restaurants, bars, ballrooms, and public corridors designed separately by James Park associates, Singapore, BAMO Spain, and LTW designworks Kuala Lupor. Within these rooms hang the hotel’s 100-year-old collection of art that required much restoration by the Delhi Based Art Life Restoration Trust.

In the keeping with the excitement of the hotel’s re-introduction to Mumbai, new luxurious services and deals will be offered: 24-hour butler service, complimentary food and beverage access, a new fitness center, steam and Jacuzzi with complimentary use, all within an offer to stay for two days and receive the third one for free.

Brilliantly refurbished, the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai is the place to stay for visitors looking for an unforgettable, timeless experience of India’s history.
