Not one, not two, but three artists have come together for a preview of new works at their space for collaboration on the Hudson River this Saturday, August 14.  The design firm Harrison Atelier (HAt), Seth and Ariane Harrison, will join forces with choreographer Jonah Bokaer in a performance piece that is a preview of Anchises, which will debut at the Abrons Art Center this fall. The score was commissioned to Loren Dempster and the cast includes Valda Setterfield, Meg Harper, Catherine Miller, James McGinn, and Jonah Bokaer.

Daniel Arsham will also be showing studies for his upcoming show at Emmanuel Perrotin in Miami during Art Basel Miami Beach 2010. Bokaer and Arsham have teamed up before for a variety stage sets and performances pieces, like Replica at the New Museum in 2009. Brooklyn artist Arsham , who is featured in Whitewall’s recent spring design issue, is known for his stunning pieces ranging from 2D to 3D that explore our (and now animals’) relationship with architecture. Arsham is also known for his work with choreographer Merce Cunningham and his architecture and design firm Snarkitechture. Bokaer has developed a rare multi-faceted method of choreography; one that relates both technology and the human body.

The performance and other works will be on view Saturday, August 14 from 4-7PM at 73 North Second Street, Hudson, NY.
