A lot of famous and soon-to-be famous names were down in Wall Street this past Tuesday for a fabulous triple-celebration: KiptonART.com’s 5 year anniversary, New York City Ballet’s Dance with the Dancers support kick-off, and the Fine Future Perfect art exhibition opening.

The evening’s host was founder of KiptonART.com Kipton Cronkite, an entrepreneur and avid supporter of fledgling artists. His website, started in 2005, gives these young artists a chance to display their work online or at pop-up style galleries.

And what better way to celebrate the site’s five-year anniversary than with the Fine Future Perfect exhibition, which is an opportunity KiptonART provided, with support from the Hakimian Organization, Peykar Brothers Realty, and Gorjian Properties, to a select few of its most promising artists: Bon Duke, Ina Jang, Naho Kubota, Cristian Mendez, Skye Nicolas, Reed+Rader and Richard Williamson, all of whom caught selector Stephen Frailey’s notice by winning or being finalists in KiptonART’s Rising 2009 or 2010. The exhibition’s theme is the use of multi-media and photography to express the imminent though hazy future. The artists’ works will be displayed until July 31st at 75 Wall Street, a prime location for New York’s financial community to peruse and/or acquire the artworks.

Performance art and music also had its share of the glory as the New York City Ballet drummed up support for its own celebration this week, the Dance with the Dancers Benefit. New York City Ballet Dancers Vincent Paradiso and Amanda Hankes both spoke on Tuesday about the June 14th event, which will be held at Lincoln Center.

The 75 Wall Street Condominium, the location of the June 8th bash, is a recently livened-up retail space that is surrounded by BMW, Cipriani Wall Street, Tumi, Tiffany’s, Thomas Pink, Hermes, Deutsche, and other luxury and financial companies. Around 400 people attended the event, including Anisha Lakhani, Elizabeth Grimaldi Kurpis, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Annabel Vartanian, Maggie Rizer, Ashleigh Pattee, Clay Floren, Bennett Leifer, Scott Buccheit, Naeem Delbridge, Deborah Hughes, Akris' USA CEO, Melissa Beste, Julie Bensman, DeMarco Morgan, Tom Towbridge, Tatiana Perkin, and Marla Goldwasser. Van den Akker Antiques did the décor, Nourison did the carpeting, and Michael Chiarello and Janet Rutkowski provided spectacular sculptures. The event was DJed by Francesco Civetta, and its media sponsor was the Observer’s Very Short List.
