Designer Konstantin Grcic with his new chair, Crash, for Established & Sons.

Konstantin Grcic is one of the world’s most sought-after designers. Established & Sons has become the darling of Milan’s Salone del Mobile. For the first time, Grcic has teamed up with the British furniture maker to do something he normally doesn’t do – an upholstered piece. Called Crash, the puffy armchair shows off the Munich-based designer's softer side.

“I've been talking with Established & Sons for some years now. I wanted to be a part of what they are doing, something dynamic,” Grcic says. “But I also wanted to do something for them that is different from what I've done before.” The company, which formerly relied solely on British designers, also introduced new furniture and lighting during Milan's Design Week from a host of other international designers including Bertjan Pot, Stefan Diez, and the Bouroullec brothers.
