The Blue Box Gallery tonight presents it’s inaugural show of New Media Artist Gabriel Barcia-Colombo. Three-dimensional objects and two-dimensional videos are part of the components of this show including a video sculpture called Nobody Leaves, Everybody Goes.

Memorialization as a means of leaving a print for the next generation is the subject of the 10 digital sculptures that combine everyday objects such as suitcases, blenders, and Spam with videos of people.

As the artist himself says, the centerpiece of this exhibit is Animalia Chordata, a piece composed of six video-projected people that feature different stereotypes of everyday people, enclosed in glass volumes of varying shapes.
