The Armory Show opened today to the press and its VIPs. Doors opened at 11am and the crowds kept coming. By mid-afternoon Pier 94: New Art by Living Artists was packed. The fair's director Katelijne de Backer and MoMA's director Glenn Lowry welcomed in the media with a press conference in the early afternoon. Complementary champagne from Pommery started flowing around noon - just perfect timing. Here's a glimpse at the show in pictures.
