Last night, Whitewall magazine, Jumeirah Essex House, and The Armory Show came together at an intimate event to kick off the New York fair. The event was held at the Jumeirah Essex House on Central Park South in the Magnum Lounge. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from 7-10PM. The exhibition of photographs presented by Magnum Photographers, "Private View of Marhab: Images of the Middle East" was hung on the walls of the lounge and will be on view through March 31, 2010. Jumeirah's curator Katherine Gass, The Armory Show's director Katelijne de Backer, and Whitewall's publisher Michael Klug acted as hosts for the evening. Also on view for the first time was Whitewall's spring issue with two covers - Peter Marino and Aranda/Lasch.
