The world’s top brands in the watch industry gathered in Geneva for the 20th anniversary of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), held from January 18th to 22nd 2010. Vacheron Constantin and Montblanc were amongst those who revealed artistic pieces.

Vacheron Constantin's Métiers D’Art

Vacheron Constantin

With its Métiers D’Art watch the Swiss manufacturer combines the watchmaking and decorative techniques to come up with Les Masques. This limited edition of 20 models has 18 jewels and artistic drawings of Japanese symbols, which represent longevity and strength. The case is built with an 18-karat pink gold.

Montblanc's ExoTourbillon Chronographe

Montblanc

As part of the Villeret 1858 Collection, Montblanc presented the ExoTourbillon Chronographe. It is the first watch to unite a chronograph function and a tourbillon. This model has an axial minute hand, a second time zone with day/night display and a tourbillon larger than its cage. Depending on the material on which the case is made, the buckle for this model can be made in 18 Karat white or red gold or in 950 platinum. Montblanc's display also featured irish artist Craig Stephen's work whose creations combine wood, light bulbs and acrylic painting.
