The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles celebrated it’s 30th anniversary on November 14th with a gala that involved Lady Gaga, Francesco Vezzoli, and the Bolshoi Ballet. If that sounds like a wild time to you, well, it was. And if you weren’t able to witness the occasion with your own eyes you still may be in luck. MOCA is auctioning off the one-of-a-kind-works made by Miuccia Prada, Frank Gehry, Baz Luhrmann, Catherine Martin, and Damien Hirst that were worn (and played) by Lady Gaga and the Russian ballerinas during the over-the-top event. From now until November 30 (not too many days left, my friends) you can bid online at moca.org/mocanewauction and bring home a couture dress, brass mask, globe-adorned silk hat, or pair of shoes worn by the current reigning queen of pop. The Steinway & Sons piano customized by Hirst has already been sold but you can still call dibs on a piece of history before the month is out guilt-free since all the proceeds go directly to MOCA’s exhibition and education programs.

All works for auction were presented in Francesco Vezzoli¹s Ballets Russes Italian Style (The Shortest Musical You Will Never See Again), performed at the MOCA NEW 30th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, November 14, 2009.
