At the end of each week, Whitewall is here to sift through the news so you don't have to. After the jump, find out what's worth reading from this week's news.

1. Want a piece of the stock exchange to remember the days before CDOs, complex derivatives, and toxic assets? Well, now you can. Next week, Christie's will auction off pieces of the Chicago Stock Exchange built in 1984.

2. This week the Louvre at Abu Dhabi began construction - a 260,000 sq. foot museum designed by Jean Nouvel. At a ceremony celebrating the launch of the project, the public got a fist glance into the artwork that will soon call Abu Dhabi home.

3. Anish Kapoor will be the first living contemporary artist to take over the Royal Academy's main floor galleries this fall. And what will he do? Fire red wax pellets into a corner.

4. The Madoff of the art world, Lawrence B. Salander is back at it, selling art work in an upstate New York gallery. Buyer beware.

5. Christie's Hong Kong modern and 20th century sales did well, with a 90% sell-through rate. The contemporary selection did not fare as well, with a smaller, edited lot, and big names like Yue Minjun selling for much lower than in the previous five years.
