1. Hauser & Wirth will open up a New York gallery at 32 East 69th Street. The gallery will take over four floors in the building and open with a show by Allan Kaprow entitled, "Yard." A bold move in this market but if anyone can do it it's Hauser & Wirth.
2. Brian and Anna Haughton's International Art & Design Fair scheduled for October 2009 has been called off, along with its Asia Art fair set for March 2010.
3. After last week's arguably successful day and evening sales at Christie's the auction house looks to it's upcoming Asian sales in Hong Kong with some upbeat estimates.
4. The Venice Biennale is less than two weeks away. Martin Gayford for Bloomberg gives us an overview of what's to come.
5. Artist Gianni Monteleone, through KiptonArt.com takes on Wall Street. Bloomberg also looks into how sites like KiptonArt.com and other nonprofit spaces are providing an alternative to the gallery for young artists - directly connecting the artist with the collector.
