Bang & Olufsen has launched their latest plasma television, the BeoVision 4, which incorporates both technical and aesthetic innovations. The BeoVision 4 is not only one of the largest televisions on the market at 103-inches, but it is also technically and mechanically astounding.

The motorized stand upon which the TV rests is itself a technical feat. When turned on, the 580- pound screen elevates itself to the viewer’s desired angle and height while the BeoLac 10 center- channel loudspeaker emerges from beneath the screen. This mechanism not only ensures optimal viewing, but the movement of the screen and speaker allows for the TV to be less prominent in the room when it is not in use.

The screen is also technically impressive. It utilizes Automatic Color Management, a proprietary Bang & Olufsen technology, which adjusts the color temperature of the plasma screen to compensate for the effects of aging. Furthermore, the screen utilizes VisionClear technologies that work to ensure optimal performance under all viewing conditions and an anti- reflection coated contrast screen to make day- time viewing possible.

To top things off, the BeoVision works with Bang & Olufsen’s innovative Beo5 remote control, whose “universal language” can operate any Bang & Olufsen product combination. Both the TV and the remote control are simple and easy to use and prove that sophisticated technology does not always need complicated instruction manuals.
