Last week public arts organization Creative Time held their benefit auction in honor of art collectors and patrons of the arts Melva Bucksbaum and Raymond Learsy. Numerous artists came to show their support at the event and drink some of the miniature bottles of champagne, straws attached. A number of artists in attendance had donated works to the auction - such as Mickalene Thomas, Kamrooz Aram, and Marilyn Minter - or Kenny Scharf, who was offering a portrait of the buyer to the highest bidder in the live portion of the auction.
