Rolex introduced seven new watch designs this year at Basel World 2009. A standout of the collection was the Datejust Royal Pink, which takes an innovative spin on the classic and ubiquitous Oyster Perpetual Datejust Rolesor design that was created sixty years ago.
The Oyster Perpetual Datejust Royal Pink has taken the original values of timelessness and luxury, and has evolved to embrace the latest watch making innovations. It is precise, water- proof, self- winding, and is an officially – certified Swiss chronometer.
The aesthetics of the watch are impressive and bold. The bezel on the 18ct Everose gold case is set with Baguette- cut diamonds and the bezel edge is set with brilliant- cut diamonds. The strap is a combination of rubber and stingray leather that make a striped design. On top of this design is a scattering of brilliant-cut diamonds. The dial, with a matching striped design, is adorned with black lacquer and paved diamonds and is set with diamond hour markers. Together, all of these components make a statement watch that will bring out the animal in you.
