Several limited editions were introduced at Baselworld 2009 including Chopard, Bovet, Blancpain, Harry Winston and Guy Ellia.
Chopard’s new L.U.C Lunar Big Date has a horological complication that is so accurate, the difference between the actual lunar cycle and the indication of the timepiece amounts to just one day every 122 years. This extreme accuracy is made possible by the L.U.C Lunar Big Date’s extremely precise device in which the wheel driving the moon-bearing disc comprises of 135 teeth. The L.U.C Lunar Big Date is issued in a limited, numbered series of 500.
Bovet’s new tourbillion complication watch (above) the Sportser, incorporates Art Deco design elements and sophisticated movement, resulting in a watch that is both aesthetically intriguing and technically impressive. The Sportser is available in a limited edition of 88 timepieces per model.

Blancpain and Lamborghini have collaborated to create an exceptional automobile championship. Played out over six events per year, the Super Trofeo stars a field of 30 Lamborghini Gallardos. To celebrate these races, Blancpain presented a Super Trofeo flyback chronograph, a sporting watch with a production run limited to 300.
The Opus Series by Harry Winston (above) was launched in 2001; the Opus 9 builds upon the line’s legacy of innovation and elegance. The Opus 9 has linear driven time, which is displayed in a very innovative way. The Opus 9 replaces the traditional watch hands and cyclical dial with two parallel diamond chains that display the time. These chains are powered by a strong automatic movement that is concealed within the case. The Opus 9 was designed in collaboration with the watchmaker, Jean-Marc Wiederrecht, and designer, Eric Giroud. Their product is a truly timeless limited edition of 100 pieces.
Guy Ellia has collaborated with Christophe Claret to present their latest timepiece The Tourbillon Magistère II. The timepiece features a skeleton movement that features hands that display the hours and minutes while seemingly floating in space. The Tourbillon Magistère II is a rare collector's item with a limited edition of only 12 pieces for each version.
